Building My Guitar... I'm Fucked

Project 2

Last finishing touches! just the neck left to do now, all fully working and waiting for the rest!

Project 2 - The Rebuild

Last night I was looking over the Electrics to go back inside this guitar, I am still in the frame of mind not to spend much money on it, when I got given the guitar it didn’t work, I don’t think its the humbuckers because if it is, it means both the neck and bridge have gone, I looked at the switch, pots and wiring and everything is intact no obvious breaks but whoever re-wired it did such a rubbish job and there is one thing I would of done different, so I have ordered new wire to go inside and will re-solder everything back to how it should be, in hope that will fix the problem.

The plastic plate at the back of the guitar to cover the electrics I am going to re-paint no point in buying a new one just needs a touch up, the neck plate and the machine heads I am going to polish up.

I need to buy a truss rod cover as it was missing.

The screws look a bit rusted where people have taken it apart and put it back together so I will replace all them with new screws also.

The humbucker is looking a bit corrosive also so I was looking on ebay and you can buy covers to sit on top of them, I like this idea, it will make it look new while the old one sits underneath.

Looking over the cost and I think I have achieved quite a bit with spending so little so recommend you give it ago!
